Would UNC Rather?

Strategic Campaign

Would UNC Rather, the winner of the 2014 NCPRSA InSpire Silver Best in Show Award, is a strategic campaign created by StratComm, a group of public relations students in the UNC School of Journalism and Mass Communication for the UNC Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life and Community Involvement. The campaign is focused on the OFSL-CI's goal of reducing problem drinking on campus and uses social norm messaging to promote alternatives on campus and remind students of negative consequences through student-created content.

Fireworks of South Carolina, Inc. Issues Voluntary Recall of Sparklers

In conjunction with an announcement made by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Fireworks of South Carolina, Inc. is issuing a voluntary recall of bamboo stick sparklers reported to be defective. Customers should refrain from using the sparklers and return the product to the store where they were purchased for a full refund.

The goal of this communications audit is to assess the library’s current tactics of promotion and determine what is needed to increase visitation of the library, raise student awareness of librarian assistance, and encourage alumni and students to donate money to the library.
