LAUREN KOSTENBERGER

My name is Lauren Kostenberger, and I'm a recent graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I graduated with a degree in public relations from the School of Journalism and Mass Communications in May 2014, and now work in children's book marketing at HarperCollins Publishers in New York, NY.

 

I chose to pursue a career in publishing because I'm passionate about books - their dual purpose of entertaining and educating from childhood onward is crucial to the lives of so many. I'm especially interested in publicity and marketing because  no matter how good a book is, it can fail to make an impression if no one knows about it. I'm excited to begin my career in publishing and hope to spend it making a difference in the world through letting the public know about amazing books!
